** 1620hrs **

**two days after concert**

**newly found old friends**

yup! after so much of work and effort , NPCB ended its 20 years of music playing with Rondeau XX . And with the many glorious years of music making to come!

tho with a few screw ups which i see it as a personal overlook on my part , the concert was still a success . we played well for the pieces , the ticket sales was good . tho not ful house , we manage to fill up at least 85% of the hall .

perhaps i shall write abt the concert hour by hour eh? then i will have many stuffs to write about! considering all the days that i have not been updating my blog! =)

0700hrs .

heng woke me up with a wake up call ... started packing my bags for the overnight staying . then carefully pack my "stars awards" into a box for the comm. so i packed packed and packed . and went down at 915 to wait the cab fadz took a long time to get .. *frown*

10:00hrs .

reached sch . cheated xiao hui into writing the star awards for me =) hehehe and i started glueing those stars that fell off .. =) hhahaah cool cool ..

1130hrs .

we started teh moving out procedures . first to check out the blazers and pins . check the instuments , then briefing . then we started to move the stuffs down. awaits the lorry we stood there for half an hour tho . and i presented my bday present to heng! a ladle! i didnt have time to wrap it tho . =) happy belated ! the ladle is for the many years of cooking in the future ! =) then i gave away my most sincere gift of the day also!

eventually the bus came!! and so was the lorry . we began the loading process up the lorry . only to find out that we nearly had no space to sit on the lorry in the end. argh . the delicatedly wrapped organ got in first and followed by other stuffs . poor chimes was dismantled for easy movement! =) so we left sch late . we communicated with the bus with the walkie talkie . and eventually , we found out that we forgot to bring the iron! *screw up number one! * so we had to

call peter to detour back to np to get it for us . =\ without his help , we would have un pressed shirts on stage already . =\

so we smoked at the back of the lorry ! =D like how we always do! hahahah funny tho . very stressssful! months of preperation for the actual day! and this is it! the pressure sure is great!

1330hrs .

we reached VCH behind time! instuctions were shouted and instruments were hustled into the hall fraid the rain would damage the instruments . rushed up teh hall to check on all the other stuffs . blah blah .. others are technical issues tho .

we got everything set up and rehearsal started abit off time! but nvm . it was good! everyone sounded perfect! then we had a minor glitch with the projector . or not it would be very perfect ! projector or not , the slide show was great ! it made fatt cry ! =D wahaha

so auntie from the florist was calling me alot of times to get me down to get the flowers . =) but i didnt switch on my fone! =) so she got abit fustrated tho! hhehehe started nagging! she did a wonderful job with the flowers!!! omg! realli nice! and i bought flowers for chua !hahah she is dumb can! don even know it was lavender! =) lolz i owed her lavender from last pnc! the message goes " this is for a job well done for rondeau! now don bug me anymore! " =D

tehn came the ushers! they are a bunch of wonderful ppl ! seriously ! esp kewei friend! he helped us alot! =) and a few ushers ! they are great! and some looked quite pretty too! one pair took pics whereever tehy went of themselves! hahaha funny@

then came the alumnis! they are a bunch of music lovers ! they have passion for mucis! thats wad kept them going for so many years! but a very hard to co ordinate them . i know they got their lives outsde .. but at least take the effort to come early bah? went out to smoke with anthony . and i discovered many things can be solved between guys with smoke! .. many things can be discussed over smoke! =)

1800hrs .

start of concert! wah lao .. realli very sad u know! to see a handful of ppl at the audience .. 10 mins before concert! omg! so sad! then 10mins after 6 , ppl still staggering into teh hall! haiz .. my fault now! i didnt inform the ushers to close the door at 6 and not allow anyone in ! booohooo! then i still signal aik kee to come in when still got ppl staggering in ... haioz ... boohoo .. nvm .. its ok ..

and everyone on stage look great! amanda with her nice curls ! miao xing with her un black shirt and nice make up ! li xian with her superb make up! and finally jas! ( i hav to do this lest she comes bug me again! ) she looked realli nice lah! with her hair do! .. seriously nice! and her pointed shoes! hahaha =x . cheng with her realli realli nice ear rings! now i know why brasses played some wrong notes! cos we kept seeing her terble clef ear rings! *tsk tsk *

now we started teh concert already! VERY NICE! very grand opening with the first piece! superb !

was kinda dissapointed with tuba with ballade! kept playing obvious careless mistakes! well .. that was the one mistake i am unhappy abt only .. all the other songs were superbly done! and eugene did a great job with his solo with euphonium ! a one bar solo! but that was realli realli nice! i melted! jas worked very hard for this concert and all have been paid off! seriously i am proud of the tubes ! the power of tubes! =D

and i still feel that my tone was the best at concert! compared to the many practices ! =) round and correct! hahahah =x bleahz special thanks to francis for his help !

END OF FIRST HALF!!! ..... 15 mins interval! ..

ok until here jas complained i was taking too long for my entry liao! argh!

=) first half was realli great despite many small glitches! =) we took many pics together , had realli great fun!

fatt was bothering me to send him the pic i took with kenglu! =D nono i am going to send to him! *evil!* =)

shall update the second half in time to come! =)
